Liverpool Player Ratings

Alisson Becker – 8 – He didn’t make his first save. Until the first half injury time. He did an excellent job of reading the ball and diving to deny Ismaila Sarr’s shot. He made another 2-3 saves in the second half, with Nketiah’s shot in the 64th minute and Eberechi Eze’s shot in the 70th minute almost going under the bar. Unfortunately, he was forced off with an injury.

Kostas Tsimikas – 8 – Came on for Andrew Robertson and had a superb first half, chipping in for Gakpo who assisted on Jota’s goal to make it 1-0 and was also faultless defensively throughout.

Virgil van Dijk -7 – Almost had a clean first half, playing comfortably when Palace couldn’t attack, but had to work harder in the second half. But managed to survive even though Palace had some chances to finish.

Ibrahima Konate – 7 – Coordinated well with Van Dijk in defence, marking Eddie Nketiah and making things difficult, and also clashing well with Mateta, who came on as a substitute.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7 – Played well and consistently, pushing forward whenever he got the chance and also had a few finishing touches that even Dean Henderson had to make a save.

Alexis Mac Allister – 6 – Not a standout performer, with Liverpool dominating the first half and the Argentine midfielder trying to build attacking options from the second line at times, and it will be interesting to see whether he was substituted at the start of the second half due to injury or not.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7 – Continued to excel in midfield as a passing midfielder, with some flashes of attack, such as in the 34th minute when he almost assisted Jota’s second (but missed), and continued to run the ufabet https://ufabet999.app game diligently throughout.

Cody Gakpo – 7 – Was excellent in the build-up down the left, starting with an assist for Jota’s opener after just nine minutes, and was a threat throughout, creating dizzying moments, but his clear-cut chances were few and far between.

Curtis Jones – 7 – Had a few chances as a starter and did not disappoint, contributing in both attack and defence, particularly in the second half when Szoboszlai came on to reinforce the midfield.

Mohamed Salah – 5 – After a fine display, scoring and assisting in several games, Salah was noticeably quiet today, struggling to play, passing the ball back and forth and being ganged up on by the home side’s defenders, making it difficult for him to do anything.

Diogo Jota – 7 – Made an immediate impact with a simple cross to open the scoring in the 9th minute but fell flat after that and missed a golden opportunity to add a second in the 34th minute when he mistimed a team-mate’s pass. Didn’t play much of a role in the second half.
